The games are coming quick and fast, and Great Wakering Rovers are back at Burroughs Park this Saturday for their consecutive home game as they host local neighbours Benfleet.
This is a huge match for both teams in what is a local derby but also as both sides are in search of a much needed three points.
Marcus Bowers will be desperate for his side to get back into winning ways following Tuesday night's disappointing defeat to White Ensign, and will be looking for his players to be standing up and counted for Saturday's big test.
Rovers are 16th in the league table and will need a big reaction to get back on track.
However, Benfleet have been a difficult side for the Rovers in past seasons and will make life hard for the home side at Burroughs Park.
The Opposition: Benfleet
Since being promoted to the Essex Senior League in 2024, the Fleet have established themselves well to life in step five. Benfleet have improved significantly well each season, finishing higher and higher in the league.
Manager Lee Scott will also be looking for his side to get back to winning ways this weekend, as his side are currently winless in three games. They currently sit midtable in the league in 13th.
Their main goal scoring threat is Mason Shave and Jacob Wiggins who have hit the back of the net on four occasions each. Mason Shave will be a big threat in both boxes for his side.
