Despite missing out on promotion, the former Rovers striker rounded off the season in style by retaining the Errington Challenge Cup for the second year running.

It’s been a memorable three seasons for the 37 year old manager and his management team, as they won three league cups, reached the final Essex Senior Cup this season and reached the final of the FA Vase in his first season in charge.

Marcus made history once again this season as he led the Rovers to their second ever final of the Essex Senior Cup in 19 years and also the first ever Essex Senior League side in 50 years to reach the final.

During his time at Burroughs Park, he has almost managed 150 games, winning 98 games and has the highest win rate of any previous manager for the Rovers.

Lee Bunn, Aron Peters, Scott Keys and physio Steve Newman will continue to work with Marcus for next season as well.

They will now prepare for next season as they look to achieve promotion to the Isthmian North League.
